Alyssa Colbert, LMSW

Alyssa practices with Metro NY DBT Center in Manhattan. She is licensed in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.  A graduate of Columbia University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Alyssa completed a year-long training through Columbia University’s DBT Intensive Training Program, and was intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech. She has additional training in suicide risk assessment and motivational interviewing. During her training at Columbia, Alyssa gained experience providing comprehensive DBT to both adults and adolescents at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. Alyssa also has experience in practicing DBT for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) through both individual therapy and group skills training.
